My daughter and I stayed here for two nights and the room was very comfortable.

  • I'm in the King Suite room now. It's huge and roomy. I will definitely come back again. Compared to some other places around here, this place gets 4 stars from me. The food is good, there is a DJ and the drinks (considering it's a hotel) are reasonable, too.

The Caravan II Albergo

Many people ask, "what does Albergo mean?". It's the Italian word for Hotel.

What is now the Caravan II was once named The Caravan Nightclub. It was a major showplace for talent such as - The Platters, Sinatra, and several other 50's groups. It was the "hotspot" of it's time-and is once again New Castle, PA's newest "Hot Spot".

The building was built in the 1950's, and remodeled several times since then.

In the 1970's the property was the Holiday Inn, New Castle.

For many years, prior to the current owner, who worked as a bus boy at the nightclub, the building was a church.

The Pastor sold the current owner the property in 2007. He took on the task of remodeling it once again by hiring a Hollywood film and television production designer to set the mood inside...
